For Faculty:

Faculty Services.
A staff of five provides comprehensive administrative assistance and information services to faculty. Susan Dougherty, Manager and Pamela Simmons, Assistant Manager.

Committee on Professional Development.
An elected committee of the faculty, the Committee on Professional Development formulates policies and, in some cases, makes recommendations concerning grants, leaves, attendance at professional meetings and other activities that contribute to the professional growth of the faculty. For Students:

The Center for Writing and Speaking.
Staffed by trained peer tutors, the Center for Writing and Speaking provides students of all ability levels with individual assistance in writing papers and in preparing speeches and presentations. Christine Cozzens, Director.

Resource Center for Math & Science

The Resource Center for Math and Science
The center coordinator, faculty, and student learning assistants endeavor to facilitate students’ understanding of mathematics by focusing on the process rather than merely getting an answer. Elizabeth Hartnett, Coordinator.

Foreign Language Tutoring.
In support of the students’ endeavors to learn and use foreign languages, the tutors and Teaching Assistants of the three modern language programs guide students to an understanding of the material rather than simply correcting errors and providing answers.Julia Knowlton, French Program Coordinator; Gisela Norat, Spanish Program Coordinator;Gundolf Graml, German Program Coordinator.

Tutoring in Biology.
The Biology department offers tutoring by a junior or senior major and by a teaching assistant who assists in labs and tutors specifically for 100-level courses. Harry Wistrand, Department Chair.

Academic Accommodations for Disabled Students.
Accommodations are provided for students with specific needs, which will be identified individually based on disability documentation and academic history. Machamma Quinichett, Assistant Director.

The Office of Personal Counseling.
This office provides professional, ethical and quality short-term counseling, consultation and outreach services to help students obtain the maximum benefit from their college experience. Debra Moore, Director.

Campus-wide:

McCain Library.
Librarians provide reference assistance, individual research consultations, group workshops, course-related instructional sessions, and other opportunities for learning about the library and its resources. Elizabeth Bagley, Director of Library Services.

Information Technology Services.
The ITS staff provide the campus with cutting-edge technology to enhance and improve teaching and learning at Agnes Scott. LaNeta Counts, Director.

The Educational Technology Center.
The ETC builds faculty awareness of what is possible with technology in teaching and learning, fosters joint planning of educational technology, and supports faculty and student use of instructional technology tools and "smart" classrooms. Emily Gwynn, Manager.
